Catch - The most basic form of communication. Two people working together, completely engaged in the moment. It is a language, an art, a form of acceptance. It's also a challenge, a competition, a friendly rivalry. When we catch, we share something, we open ourselves up - both to fun and criticism. We put it all out there because we want to feel connected. Each time the ball leaves our stick there is a moment of uncertainty - We’ve done our best to give our partner an opportunity, and every ounce of us hopes that they come to meet us halfway. We Catch! because we care and because every time we make that connection, we feel a little better about trying it again the next time.
Positivity- Lacrosse is a game, and games are meant to be fun. We see lacrosse as a conduit to help people live healthier, more productive lives and to teach young athletes about life and the challenges they will face far beyond the scope of the game. Lacrosse asks players to set goals, be part of a team, work hard towards something they care about, and cope with struggle and loss. This last point may be the most significant - life is about confronting and handling adversity. Each day we are presented with obstacles, some larger than others. Each day we are given an opportunity to face our fears and insecurities and give our honest best. For some, the fear and anxiety that results from knowing this is overwhelming and they shy away from doing things because they are hard or scary. For others, they embrace the challenge of “today” and step forward to meet each obstacle, whether large or small.
Confidence - We are a company founded on the principle that everyone can be better. Some people strive through music, dance, science, theater, business, art, food, travel, literature, politics, film, nature, family - we hope that our athletes get a chance to experience and enjoy all these elements that go into living a well-rounded and enriched life, but our medium is Lacrosse. Come play with us because we see lacrosse as just another means to learn what it means to be yourself, to learn how to communicate with people, and to meet life’s challenges with confidence and an open heart.
